Chief Executive Officer
Brendan has been the CEO of FAST (Finance & Systems Technology) since October 2012, using this role to apply an ecosystem approach to build a unique understanding of financial services markets, including the participants, innovators, business models and strategies.
Having applied experience across industries and organisations in value chain through consultancy projects in business strategy, innovation, digital transformation and international business - across advanced manufacturing, life sciences, digital platforms and domain orchestration. Designing and implementing strategies through applying business models and frameworks that create sustainable value.
Brendan currently holds Board, Governance, Director, Responsible Manager, Regulation and licenced entity responsibilities.
With extensive experience in financial services, Brendan has developed and executed strategies for distribution channels, platform and digital business models, contact centres, operations and risk.
Having previously owned and operated a private enterprise in the manufacturing sector, Brendan has a real understanding of what it means for entrepreneurs to have their own capital on the line and the associated challenges of operating a business, creating capability and delivering to customers.
Global Executive MBA at Monash Business School, Melbourne – completed 2019, this included attending INSEAD - France, RWTH University Aachen - Germany, CEIBS - China and NYU Stern - United States.
Advanced Management Program – Harvard Business School, Boston - completed 2016.
Head of Northern Region
Rob has been in the financial services industry for over 23 years, with exposure to Business Banking, Retail Banking, Private Banking, Credit/Risk and Loans Administration. An early entrant to the Third Party Broker Industry, Rob has been in the broker channel for over 18 years as a lender, commencing with BNZ in 1995. He has seen the evolution of the broker industry, and been part of the ever growing segment of third party distribution of home loans.
The past eight years has seen Rob in sales and distribution, including leadership roles in Mortgage Manager Homeloans Limited and Westpac. Rob has worked in state leadership roles for NAB Broker in WA and NSW, with his most recent role being the National Manager for the phone based BDM team in NAB Broker and Advantedge, leading a team of three Team Leaders and twenty four BDMs. The primary function of this role involved people leadership, as well as strategy, design and implementation of an operating model that spanned the two distribution businesses of NAB Broker and the Advantedge white label business.
Rob has a passion for the industry and strongly believes that the mortgage broker industry will continue to grow in share as they provide quality service to their customers.
Rob is excited to be the Regional Manager, North covering NSW, ACT and QLD for FAST, and to be part of a recognised and successful business that offers a broad range of products and quality service to finance brokers looking to diversify and grow their businesses.
Head of Southern Region
Stephen has been in the financial services industry for approximately twenty-five years, including working for large global and small Australian investment banks and boutique advisory firms. In these roles, Stephen has gained experienced across, corporate strategy, growing relationships across diverse stakeholders, building culture, leadership, business development, and compliance.
What has been consistent across his career is leading with the understanding of business owner and consumer customers’ needs, prioritising their business and personal strategies through the delivery of the highest quality client experience.
Stephen has a clear understanding, capability and experience of the responsibilities and opportunity in an ecosystem of regulation, platform, data, digital transformation, and business. He holds a Global Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Monash University Business School. Through this cutting-edge program Stephen studied at three top global business schools (INSEAD in France, CEIBS in Shanghai and NYU Stern in New York) which further developed his understanding of leading global business thinking.
Stephen is excited to join the FAST Team as Head of Southern Region, covering Victoria, Tasmania, South Australian & Western Australia, and is thrilled to be part of FAST’s vision of helping our finance broker customers deliver outcomes that are compliant, ethical, and of real value.
Head of Southern Region (Acting) and Head of Aggregation Operations & Partnership Support
Lorelle has been in the Financial Services industry for 20 years and has had a number of lending and leadership roles within Retail, Small Business and Corporate.
As Head of Operations and Partnership Support for FAST, Lorelle is responsible for delivering change initiatives, managing risk and compliance for the FAST business and broker businesses and leading the Professional Development Program.
Lorelle exudes a customer-centric nature, is passionate about learning, and focused on developing new ways to deliver value to customers whilst helping brokers grow their businesses. She is partway through her MBA and recently completed the Stanford Leadership Program, continuing to invest in learning opportunities is an important way she continues to challenge herself and her team to think strategically and focus on innovation.
Whilst Lorelle is new to the mortgage broking industry, she has quickly become a huge advocate for broker businesses. She is passionate about the value that brokers deliver to their clients and sees her role at FAST as supporting brokers to build successful and sustainable businesses enabling them to continue to deliver the valuable client experiences brokers are known for.
